The GHS Guardians Dance Team needs your help! This organization requires parent involvement from each family to allow our director and students to concentrate on what they do best: DANCE! We really appreciate everyone who volunteers their time to help us out.
As a reminder, you must be registered as an approved Leander ISD Volunteer.

Ready to get involved? Volunteer to help with a fundraising committee, decorate for an event, create flyers, provide food service, chaperone an event, or come to meetings and offer your input – there is something for everyone. All levels of commitment are welcomed, needed and greatly appreciated.

Please note: LISD will run a background check on all volunteers to ensure the safety and security of all district students.
LISD processing time is typically 3-4 days. You will be notified via email when your application has been approved.
In order for you to signup for Meal Service or any other volunteer service, you should visit the PTSA website. You MUST be an approved volunteer through the district by following the directions above.

Dance Booster Committees - Please Join Us!
We are starting to build our Dance Booster Committees to help support the directors, parents, and students for this year's dance events and activities. Please consider filling an open committee chair position (see below)
VP - Misty Bills

Contest - Andreea Rodman
The contest committee will be responsible for coordinating the host contest in February at GHS. This includes concessions, hospitality room, team preorder meals, signage, etc. This committee will report to the Vice President.
Spring Show -
This committee shall be responsible for organizing “non-show” related aspects; such as ticket sales, flower sales, concessions, decorations, “door dads”/security and program development & production, etc. This committee shall report to the Dance Team Director and Vice President.
Volunteer Coordinator - JoAnna Costarell
Banquet - Deb Bever
The banquet committee shall be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the end-of-year banquet. This committee shall report to the Vice President.
Fundraising - Genna LaPerla
The fundraising committee will be responsible for organizing any and all misc. fundraising events, ie: Dance Clinics, Hosting Dance Companies, etc. not to include host contest or spring show. This committee will report to the Vice President.
Communications - Trisha Holtzclaw & Lisa Briggs
The communication committee shall be responsible for notifying the membership by telephone &/or e-mail about upcoming meetings, special projects or events. Any member of the Executive Committee may utilize this committee when necessary. This committee shall report to the Vice President. This committee also houses the webmaster, who shall be responsible for maintaining and updating the Guardian website.
Hospitality - Misty Bills
The hospitality committee will be responsible for organizing food, drinks and/or snack for guests ie: judges, guest choreographers, etc. and refreshments and meals for the team at such events as football game days and contests. During contest season the team will need to have lunch arranged. This committee shall report to the Vice President.
Spirit Shop -
In cooperation with the directors, choose and order merchandise to be sold to the teams and collect sales tax on all transactions of the Spirit Shop. The committee will work with the webmaster to add items to the online store. This committee will report to the Director and Vice President.
Public Relations - Ashley Swindle
This committee shall be responsible for promoting fundraising events and to publicize the team’s successes (e.g. Guardian of the week, etc. each week of football season, and results of competitions on team social media). This committee also houses the team photographer(s) responsible for taking photographs of the Guardians at Practices, Football games, Dance Clinics, Competitions and other team events as well as those who will create opportunities for the Guardians to serve the community. This committee shall report to the Vice President.
